Hard times for these Times is the tenth novel by Charles Dickens,first published in 1854. hard times show  the  situation  of  society and satirises the condition of society. The novel is hard truth about industrialism ,with its hard effect of dehumanization upon workers in the mid 19th century England.

Thomas gradgrind is believe in only most facts and pragmatic information,he raised his children Louisa and Tom very harshly, Louisa is a confused child and Tom is immoral and stupid, Thomas gradgrind adopts sissy,who was a good hearted girl and believe in imagination and compassion.louisa father told her to marry with Josiah bounderby and she married with him ,he was a banker and factory owner and  Stephen blackpool,Rachael,slack bridge are his factory worker,he told his worker as hands, Stephen loves Rachel but he is already married with drunken women and he is poor so he didn't get it devorce,James hart house comes from London and he take all information about Louisa from Tom,he try to seduces Louisa and Mrs.sparsit,who is housekeeper of Josiah bounderby see them together and that time all workers strike  against Josiah bounderby,but Stephen refuse to join them and he cast out by their community,then Louisa understand that Stephen is honest and she gives money to Stephen and Tom also meet him and tell that if you want help of money,you need to stand near Bank ,and he was loitering near Bank for many nights but help didn't came and he was went to his town for some agricultural work and Tom robes the bank and all suspect Stephen for robes the bank and he was not there and Racheal and Louisa going to find Stephen and he was also come for prove his honesty and he was fall in minor pit and he was injured , Louisa and Rachael find him and he was dies soon after an emotional farewell to Rachael .Louisa realize that Tom robes the bank ,and bitzer was copy of Thomas gradgrind,only believes in facts,he try to capture Tom but when sissy spend his childhood,there mr. Slearly help to run from bitzer,Tom goes out of his nation and live in sea side and never come and dies in redemption and Louisa and James decided to run but Louisa comes his father house and Thomas gradgrind understand his fault how he made his children life painful and sissy talked to James and he went to London and mrs.sparsit meet mrs.pegler and mr.bounderby meet his mother and mrs.sparsit lost her job and Louisa remain happy with sissy children and she don't get married again,and Thomas gradgrind helps the other people.

Conclusion
 
In the end Thomas gradgrind realize that his  philosophy that made his children ruined their lives,hard times shows the difficulties of life caused by industrialization also life of character centre around fact based education and facts, reasons , industrialization have spoiled the life of 19th century or Victorian era,and compassion and imagination also important in life .
